Upgrade procedure for LogOn version 2.9 or lower to version 3.X

1 INTRODUCTION

This manual describes the upgrade procedure of LogOn Telematics modules from:

  1. System Monitor version 1.7 or lower to version 2.1
  2. OS version 1.1.7 to 1.2.1
  3. Firmware version 2.9 or lower to the latest version 3.X
NOTE: This procedure does not work with Firmware version 3.0 or higher.

To upgrade to the new Operating System (OS), Telematics modules first require the System Monitor to use version 1.8. Only System Monitor version 1.8 allows customers to upgrade Telematics modules with older firmware versions and Operating Systems to the new one.

For updating from version 2.9 or lower to version 3.X the user will need to use a laptop or tablet instead of a cell phone.

For upgrading firmware from version 3.0 to version 3.X, please see the document labeled 'Upgrade Procedure for LogOn version 3.0 (only) version 3.X'.

For upgrading firmware from version 3.1 or higher to version 3.X, please follow the directions in the Tigecat App.
